The Abrigo family has been active in the wine industry for a very long time. Since 1988, Giovanni Abrigo has been working in the family business together with his father, Orlando. Giovanni introduced various technical improvements to the wine production process with the aim of producing wines of character. Today Orlando Abrigo operates about 20 hectares of vineyards in Treiso, growing indigenous varieties such as Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, Barbera, Moscato and Nascetta and a small number of international varieties, including Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Merlot. Treiso is one of the best sub-zones in the region for producing top-quality Barbaresco.
