Orlando Abrigo’s Nebbiolo d’Alba Valmaggiore 2018 comes from the famous Valmaggiore cru in the Roero. This cru is characterised by typical steep slopes with sandy, limestone soils where all work has to be done by hand. This results in wines with a lot of character in the Bourgogne style.  The colour is light intense garnet red. In the nose we discover aromas of cherries, herbs and a touch of earth. The Valmaggiore is very delicate, elegant and balanced. It is a juicy Nebbiolo with tannins still clearly present. The wine is already delicious when drunk but also has a lot of storage potential. A fantastic Nebbiolo.
