In Valle Galfina, on the eastern flank of Mount Etna, the Scilio family has been producing excellent white and red wines from the local Carricante, Nerello Mascalese and Nerollo Cappuccio varieties for three generations. “Il vino si fa in vigna” , the wine is made in the vineyard, is the motto of the family. The vineyards are located on volcanic terrain and at an altitude that varies between 650 and 1000m. They only work with autochthonous grape varieties and completely organically. All this makes it possible to produce wines of the highest quality.
