The Barbaresco Montersino 2016 by Orlando Abrigo comes from the vineyard of the same name (planted in 1970) in Treiso. The colour is ruby red. In the nose we experience a rich, complex bouquet of red fruit , earthy notes and liqueur. On the palate, beautifully fresh fruit, nice acidity, tannins still present. A wine with a lot of potential and a long finish.

The 2016 Barbaresco Montersino is laced with the essence of black cherry, plum, lavender, rose petal, cinnamon and menthol. Dark and brooding in the glass, the 2016 is a Barbaresco of gravitas. I would give it a few more years in the bottle. There is a lot of character here.
