Ignazio Giovine’s family has been active as winegrowers for 200 years. But it is only in 1988 that L’Armangia was founded. Ignazio has today about 10 ha of vineyards situated around the winery. There we find mainly south-facing vineyards on limestone and clay soil. In Moasca and San Marzano Oliveto we find heavier terroirs. Although originally focused on white wines based on Moscato, Chardonnay and Sauvignon, in recent years he has become one of the leading producers of Barbera. Since 2014, the Nizza Superiore has also been recognised as a separate DOCG. The Nizza Titon and Nizza Riserva are the absolute best in the range.
