The Chianti Classico of Poggerino comes from various vineyards at 400-500 m altitude. It is made exclusively from the Sangiovese grape. The wine stays for 12 m partly in 20hl botte (85%) and concrete (15%). This is followed by maturation in bottle for several months. The Chianti Classico 2022 is an elegant Chianti from a challenging vintage, showing an intense cherry-red colour and aromas of ripe cherry and subtle spice. On the palate, it’s fresh and approachable, with noticeable but not yet fully integrated tannins. Less powerful than the 2022, but appealing for its liveliness and tension. A classic Radda style with a lighter body and tight structure. Combine with pasta or red meat.
