Territorio Ferraris

Ferraris Agricola, located in charming Castagnole Monferrato, is a wine estate that proudly embraces a rich history and tradition. For generations, the Ferraris family has been committed to producing outstanding wines that reflect the unique character and richness of this enchanting part of Italy.

One of the crown jewels of Azienda Agricola Ferraris is the production of Ruché wines, for which they are renowned. With their deep red colour, seductive aromas and silky tannins, these wines embody the unique identity of the Ruché grape and the beautiful environment in which they are grown.

Since 2010, Ruché wines have held DOCG status. Ruché di Castagnole Monferrato is a small DOCG spanning seven municipalities in Piedmont.

Ferraris Agricola is the reference point for Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato DOCG in the world.

We offer two wines from Ferraris Agricola: the Classic Ruché and the Vigna del Parroco.

The Classic Ruché has a ruby red colour with purple reflections and an intense aroma of rose petals mixed with red fruit. On the palate, it is full-bodied and velvety with soft tannins and a long finish.

The Vigna del Parroco takes its name from a small vineyard planted in 1964 by Don Giacomo Cauda in Castagnole Monferrato. Don Giacomo Cauda, the town’s parish priest, is considered the father of Ruché because he was the first to recognise the potential of this grape and decided to vinify it in its purest form. The grapes for this wine come from the very first vineyard planted entirely with Ruché, also the oldest vineyard still in existence today. It is also the only Cru of the DOCG Ruché di Castagnole Monferrato, which gives it a special status. In 2016, Luca Ferraris took over this vineyard and made it the company’s flagship wine.

They are perfect wines to pair with pastas, risottos and meat dishes.
