Vigna del Parroco Ruché di Castagnole Monferrato

Vigna del Parroco Ruché di Castagnole Monferrato

Vigna del Parroco Ruché di Castagnole Monferrato is a distinguished wine that derives its name from a small vineyard established by Don Giacomo Cauda in 1964 in Castagnole Monferrato. Don Giacomo Cauda, the parish priest of the town, is hailed as the father of Ruchè for being the first to recognize and explore the wine’s potential, vinifying it in its purest form. The grapes used in crafting this exquisite wine originate from the very first vineyard entirely devoted to Ruchè, which is also the oldest surviving vineyard to this day. As the sole CRU of the Docg Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato, it holds a special status.

In 2016, Luca Ferraris was entrusted with the responsibility of stewarding this significant vineyard and embarking on a new venture: to establish Vigna del Parroco as the flagship wine of the company and an emblem of Ruchè worldwide. Through this wine, the immeasurable worth of this historic and precious vineyard is showcased.

Vigna del Parroco captivates with its luminosity, displaying a ruby hue with subtle hints of purple along the rim. Its aroma immediately entices with its distinctive personality and characteristic traits. Floral notes of rose and violet intertwine with fruity scents of marasca cherries and small berries, accompanied by a delicate balsamic undertone.

On the palate, this wine proves its rightful place among the “great Piedmont wines.” Its exceptional qualities make it a perfect accompaniment for entire meals, enhancing the dining experience with its remarkable flavors and harmonious structure. Vigna del Parroco Ruché di Castagnole Monferrato is a testament to the dedication and vision of its creators, honoring the legacy of Ruchè and exemplifying the pinnacle of winemaking artistry.
