The Rosso di Montepulciano 2021 from Le Bertille is a classic interpretation of this Tuscan appellation, crafted from 80% Sangiovese, complemented by Ciliegiolo (10%) and Canaiolo (10%). The wine matured for 4–5 months in large 20 hl oak casks, adding a subtle touch of wood without overshadowing the fruit.

In the glass it shows a ruby-red colour with slight evolution at the rim. The nose is initially somewhat closed, but reveals spicy notes, hints of kirsch, and touches of dried fruit. On the palate it is firm and characterful, with pronounced acidity and tannins that are still finding their balance.

A Rosso in a robust, traditional style, pairing beautifully with Tuscan classics such as pici with ragù, roasted meats or aged pecorino.
