Bric Valdiana 2022 is a refined Roero DOCG from Giovanni Almondo, produced from the Michet and Lampia clones of Nebbiolo. The grapes come from a south-facing vineyard in Montà d’Alba at an altitude of 320 metres. Its marine-origin sandy and limestone soils bring elegance and aromatic finesse to the wine.
After 18 months in large, non-toasted Slavonian oak casks, it reveals aromas of cherry, wild strawberry and red berries, complemented by rose, violet, liquorice, thyme and delicate spices. Juicy yet structured on the palate, with polished tannins and a long, savoury finish. An elegant Nebbiolo that is already expressive but also has excellent ageing potential.
Serve at around 16°C with game, lamb, roasted meat, truffle dishes or mature cheeses.

The 2022 Roero Bric Valdiana is classy and polished. Crushed red berry fruit, cinnamon, mint, cedar and sweet pipe tobacco are some of the notes that grace this elegant, perfumed Roero from Almondo. All the elements are so well balanced. Bric Valdiana shows what was possible in 2022. It is an incredibly harmonious wine that only improves with time in the glass.
