Il Moro from Valle dell’Acate comes from a Nero d’Avola vineyard on dark, almost black soil about 120 metres above sea level. The grapes are harvested in the second half of September. It receives a wood aging of 9 to 12 months. The wine has an intense ruby red colour and aromas of cherries, raspberries and spices. It is a full-bodied, warm and elegant wine with powerful but pleasant tannins. Goes well with meat dishes, roast pork, game and aged Ragusano cheese.
