This elegant Chardonnay from Piemonte is a textbook example of finesse and tension. The wine was partially fermented and aged in barriques (60% new oak), without malolactic fermentation, resulting in remarkable freshness and precision.

In the glass, it displays a pale straw-yellow colour with moderate intensity. The nose is pure and layered, revealing aromas of ripe white fruit, citrus, and a distinct mineral character. On the palate, it is full and powerful, yet impressively refined and focused. The oak is still noticeable but well integrated, providing structure without dominating. Vibrant acidity and a chalky minerality lend the wine a taut, energetic profile.

Robi&Robi 2023 clearly has plenty of ageing potential and will evolve beautifully over the coming years. A wine for lovers of structured, terroir-driven Chardonnay.
