The Azienda Agricola Bocale of the Valentini family is a recent cantina in Montefalco. Since 2002, the family has switched to wine production. The family estate has 4 hectares of vineyards and is located about 6 kilometres from Montefalco, in a region that is especially known for its strong wines made from the grape Sagrantino. Bocale is a local name for a ‘goblet’ of 2 litres of wine or oil. This term has always been associated with this family from Montefalco and they produce about 30,000 bottles a year. The Trebbiano Spoletino is a typical local white wine. In red, there is a smooth drinking Montefalco Rosso and a firm Montefalco Sagrantino. They also make a sweet Passito with the necessary acidity.
