Chianti Classico Riserva Bugialla 2022 is Poggerino’s flagship wine and is produced only in outstanding vintages from the historic Bugialla vineyard in Radda in Chianti. The estate’s rocky soils and naturally low yields produce a wine of remarkable concentration, elegance and ageing potential.

Following an extended maceration, the wine spends two years ageing in large Slavonian oak casks before at least one additional year of bottle ageing.

The bouquet is layered with aromas of black cherry, blackberry and red currant, complemented by notes of leather, liquorice, graphite, tobacco and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate it is powerful yet beautifully refined, combining silky tannins, vibrant acidity and pronounced minerality with exceptional length.

The 2022 vintage beautifully balances the richness of a warm growing season with the freshness and precision that define Poggerino. A world-class Chianti Classico Riserva that will reward both early drinking and long-term cellaring.
