Le Chianti Classico Nuovo est un 100% Sangiovese provenant d’un vieux vignoble qui mûrit pendant 12 mois dans un tonneau en ciment (650 l) en forme d’œuf. D’où la tournure du nom (n)uovo (uovo signifie œuf en italien). Le Nuovo est un Chianti Classico complet et complexe aux tanins juteux et à l’acidité vive. Un vin absolument exceptionnel. A combiner avec de la viande grillée, du gibier ou des fromages affinés.

The 2021 Chianti Classico Nuovo, 100% Sangiovese, is a rich, powerful wine that is going to need a number of years to be at its best. Dark red-toned fruit, spice, new leather, menthol, tobacco and licorice are all amplified. The 2021 was aged entirely in cement, but even though there is no wood here, there is plenty of structure. This is such a distinct wine. The purity of the fruit is just striking.
