Barolo

91/100

La Collina di Dioniso’s Barolo 2016 is made from a vineyard in La Morra. The wine matures for 24 months in large Slavonian barrels (25hl) followed by 2 months inox and 6 months bottle aging.
The Barolo 2016 has a light intense garnet red colour with slight evolutionary edge. It has a delicate nose of red fruits, earthy notes, forest scents. The 2016 is elegant with pleasant acids and still firm tannins. A top wine with a lot of storage potential. Combine with meat dishes, game, truffle.

Delicious wine

The 2016 Barolo is fleshy, succulent and super-expressive, all of which make it an excellent choice for drinking now and over the next decade or so. Sweet red cherry, kirsch, cinnamon, mint and rose petal all flesh out in the glass, while soft, silky tannins give this forward Barolo plenty of near and medium-term appeal. This is such a delicious wine.
